We have made the decision to break up an EXTRAORDINARY 1963 Topps set - the #4 Master Set on the PSA Set Registry. The 1963 set is a particularly difficult set to complete in high grade due to Topps' poor quality control in the era which resulted in considerable print defects. The large and colorful border at the bottom simultaneously lends a distinctive design element and a condition challenge, as they are extremely susceptible to chipping and wear.

The example offered here is card #466 1963 Rookie Stars, graded NM-MT 8. The four players featured are the Dodgers' Nate Oliver, Cleveland's Tony Martinez, San Francisco's Jerry Robinson, and Detroit's Bill Freehan. Freehan was an 11-time All Star and 5-time Gold Glove winner who helped the Tigers win the 1968 World Series.

Great corners and edges on this bold, bright card. Centering is very nice, registration is nice, and the colors have remained true. Some minor snow is keeping this from grading even higher than it already has.
