Collection of three separate documents handwritten by broadcaster Red Barber to former minor league and major league catcher, minor league manager, and scout Bill Skiff. Based upon Barber's sentiments it's clear the two men were friends for some time, with Barber even commenting about how Skiff "got 4 hits off Lefty Grove in 1 game." Barber has written to Skiff in black ink on his personal letterhead, measuring 7.25" x 10" and in red ink on two of his personal heavyweight notecards, measuring 3.25" x 5.5". A date of April 13, 1968 appears along the top edge of one the aforementioned cards. Paper remnants and tape residue remain affixed to reverse of the letterhead example, indicating prior removal from a mount. Basic certs from James Spence Authentication.
