Large format publicity photograph featuring an image of the ever-stunning Marilyn Monroe early in her career. While the image itself is known to have been captured in 1950 the photographic print hails from sometime between 1956-59, landing as a Type 2 on PSA's scale. Superb image quality with some typical wear from handling/storage. A handwritten notation appears at top of verso reading: "Movie Star News Photo - Irving Klaw." This image is the same as is seen on her 1950-51 Langa Ramserien #688 card, considered a first card of Monroe. Credit stamping from the 20th Century Fox Film Co.'s publicity department has been applied towards the bottom edge. Measures 8" x 10". Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type 2 photo by PSA/DNA.
NOTE: the card is for illustration purposes only and does not come with the lot.
