Elsewhere in this auction we are offering an Old Judge "proof" cabinet of Bobby Lowe, the first player to hit four home runs in a game, accomplished in 1894.  "Ice Box" Chamberlain, who received his nickname for his cool demeanor on the pitcher's mound, is the hurler who gave up all four home runs, making him just one of two pitchers to have the ignominious record of giving up four home runs to the same batter in a single game (the other: Adonis Terry, who gave up all four to Ed Delehanty two years later). An outstanding, high-grade example with tremendous image quality.
