Gorgeous Rawlings official baseball autographed by 30 members of the 1998 New York Yankees.  The 1998 Yankees were one of the all-time great teams, winning 114 and losing just 48 regular season games, with an outstanding roster from top to bottom, including future Hall of Famers Derek Jeter, Tim Raines, Mariano Rivera and Joe Torre.  The ball was given by the team to George Rose, an interpreter who began working with the ballclub in 1998 as an interpreter for Hideki Irabu.  Rose would also become the interpreter for Hideki Matsui, and in 2007 became the team's Director of Pacific Rim Operations and coordinating scouting operations in Japan.  He continued to advise the club and the Yomiuri Giants until his unfortunate passing last August.

Signatures on the ball include Jeff Nelson, Derek Jeter (HOF), Willie Randolph (coach), Jose Cardinal (coach), Homer Bush, Luis Soho, Jorge Posada, Mike Stanton, Joe Girardi, Tino Martinez, Chris Chambliss (coach), Andy Pettite, Ramiro Mendoza, Shane Spencer, Graeme Lloyd, David Wells, David Cone, Don Zimmer (coach), Darren Holmes, Orlando Hernandez, Chad Curtis, Tim Raines (HOF), Joe Torre (HOF), Mel Stottlemyre (coach), Mike Buddie, Hideki Irabu, Jim Bruskie, David Wells, Mariano Rivera (HOF), Scott Bruises, Chili Davis, Ricky Ledee.

The baseball is amazingly well-preserved, clean with a couple of insignificant stray stains, mentioned here only for accuracy.  Also included is a business card of George Rose, relatives of whom are consignors of the baseball.  Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
