Ty Cobb, a left-handed batter, said he would rather bat against the right-handed Walter Johnson than face Burns, a tough lefty. However, "Sleepy Bill" Burns' greatest impact on the sport was his role as one of the conspirators in the Black Sox Scandal. This colorful offering may not be the greatest likeness of the pitcher, and seems to have skipped the flesh tone layer of ink during the printing process, leaving Burns looking more yellow than he should. This card is graded AUTHENTIC by SGC due to the appearance of having been hand cut.  An interesting print anomaly.
