Lot Description  

c.1910's original news service photo of a young Tris Speaker at training camp with the Boston Red Sox.The youthful future Hall of Famer remains slightly out of focus in this shot with what appears to be Red Sox camp in Hot Springs, AK behind him. A visible crease runs from the left to bottom edges of this photo, with obvious wear to three corners. Verso includes uncommon Gilliams Press Syndicate credit stamping though we have also seen other examples of this photo with George Grantham Bain credit stamping applied. Measures approx. 4.5" x 6.75" overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
