Collection of six original silver gelatin photographic prints from Paul Thompson's esteemed news photo service. Each features a member of the c.1910's-20's Philadelphia Phillies, including five action poses and a spectacular early portrait of infielder Bert Niehoff. Some typical wear can be found across this group, most notably to Huck Betts' example where a lower corner has chipped away. Several pinholes are present within the top and bottom borders of Lee Meadows' example with some creative editorial outlining helping to separate him from the wonderful background, complete with appealing outfield wall advertising at the Polo Grounds. Each measures 6.5" x 8.5" and includes credit stamping from Paul Thompson's service.
