Spectacular pair of original news service photos depicting Cleveland right-hander, Guy Morton. Morton spent his entire career (1914-24) with Cleveland and went 8-4 for their 1920 World Series championship team, though he did not appear in the Fall Classic. Pair includes an 8" x 10" full-length shot of Morton during 1918, and an intimate 6.5" x 8.5" portrait photo in which Morton is sporting a uniform style consistent with 1919-20. Both photos remain in excellent condition with light wear to the corners consistent with long-term storage in a newspaper archive for decades. Verso of both photos include Charles Conlon's personal credit stamping along with his handwritten identification of Morton written along the top edge.
