Pair of original Charles Conlon news service photos featuring Cleveland infielder and four-time World Series Champion, Larry Gardner. Included are a large format batting photo measuring a full 8" x 10" and a portrait photo of Gardner measuring approx. 5" x 8". Both images appear to have been shot c.1920 shortly after Gardner jumped from the Boston Red Sox to the Indians. Each photo displays typical light wear to the corners, consistent with long-term storage in a photo archive, with otherwise clean surfaces. Significantly, verso of each photo includes Conlon's handwritten identifiers of Gardner with the batting example also displaying Conlon's personal credit stamping at center.
