Hall of Famer Lloyd "Little Poison" Waner was still going strong in 1939, with a semi-smiling shot adorning his 1939 Play Ball card. The card itself is PSA Authentic, a nice canvas for the very dark blue ink signature, with a "Regards" thrown in. With flourishes at the start and finish, it's gorgeously signed PSA/DNA MINT 9, almost elegant in appearance. The card originates from the Shibe Park collection of autographed cards, an original owner collection carefully collected by a teenage boy who, in 1939 and 1940, obtained many autographs from players arriving at the train station near Shibe Park, and continued for many years to obtain signatures in person and through the mail.
