American Beauty backed T206 cards started appearing in the 350 series in 1910 and originally came with a frame printed around the brand logo and text, much like most of the other backs in the set. Given their mostly slim cuts, it must have been apparent to the lithographers that the frame had to go, and so it did. The majority of the American Beauty 350's carry it though and no-frame versions are harder to find. Such is the case with this PSA 5 of Jake Stahl. He's awaiting a pop up with great intent, with the blue and green background blocks looking clean and sharp. The corners have started to tip and a dot of old tobacco is seen in the upper right of the background. Centering is a little left on the obverse, it's more to the middle on the reverse, which has nice green ink abounding and, of course, no frame.
