The notorious Hal Chase, the middleman in the the fixing of the 1919 World Series, is depicted on a darkly orange E98 in a somewhat apropos throwing pose. Some bands of excess dark ink roll across the top above his cap and the beginnings of a crease cut diagonally through the lower portion of the card, which has some corner rounding too. This SGC 3 has a back with a wet sheet transfer visible, although the text is fully intact.
