Is there another set out there that can match the T3 Turkey Reds for straight-up beauty? We say no as the achingly beautiful pastels and expertly rendered figures make these larger cards some of the most treasured baseball keepsakes ever made. This 1-75 checklist backed cabinet of Boston's Jake Stahl does not disappoint, with superb details seen in the sky (and skyline of Beantown) seen behind him. The image itself is virtually pristine, with just a small cloud of foxing intruding from the right-side border. The colors are sublime and the full figure of Stahl offers a master class in composition and contrast.
The frame has some foxing, heavier on one spot than others but is free of pinholes with well-defined corners just starting to lose their points. An irregular band, slightly darker than the rest of the frame, is seen at the lower left border, continuing across the bottom; seemingly indicating another card was left on top of this one at a slight angle for quite some time. Some intermittent bands of foxing are seen on the reverse, which has wonderfully rendered text and a nice period look to it.
