Leo Durocher, Hall-of-Fame manager and a well-known baseball celebrity in his day, had a brash managerial style over a long career at the helm, but also had an extensive playing career, where he won World Series titles with the 1928 Yankees, the 1934 Gas House Gang Cardinals and then as the skipper of the 1954 Giants. Managing all or part of 24 major league seasons, he racked up 2,008 regular season wins and the enmity of many opposing players and managers. His 1969 Cubs squad faded down the stretch but his signature on the '69 Topps card has stayed strong, graded as a PSA/DNA 9. Just a little "lift" in both capital letters is seen on a card with some corner touches and rightward centering.
