Buck Leonard was considered one of the best pure hitters in the Negro leagues. A first baseman, he spent his entire 15-year career with the Homestead Grays, the longest term of service for a player with one team in Negro League history. He also played in a league-record 11 East-West All-Star Games. Offered here are two different autographed postcards (3 ½” x 5 ½”) from Leonard. The first is an illustrated black-and-white portrait style postcard capturing Leonard in deep contemplation as well as swinging through at the plate. The second postcard is a 1989 Perez-Steele Celebration color illustration piece (numbered 09233/10,000) commemorating Leonard’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. Both signatures, in bold blue marker, have been authenticated by PSA/DNA.
