Here's something you don't see every day, or every decade for that matter. Issued around 1910, we see three key members of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who took the World Series from Ty Cobb and the Tigers in 1909. Honus Wagner and Fred Clarke, both Hall-of-Famers, flank Tommy Leach, who was no slouch himself. Each capless player's last name is lightly penciled above their heads, giving way to the grade of SGC 1. Some slight corner wear is present but overall, the look is practically off the charts, with superb contrast and depth of image. The back is postally unused and unmarred save for a strip of paper loss in the upper left.
