An an amazingly well-preserved E125 American Caramel Die Cut of Tris Speaker is the prize here. Depicting his fielding pose, just one example has been graded higher by SGC than this VG 3, with two lesser examples also graded at PSA. Dubbed "Action Picture Caramels" by the manufacturer, intact specimens of this fragile set, where the cards were designed to be played with, are exceedingly difficult to find. Apart from a small paper curl on his glove hand and some light staining to the stand, there's not a whole lot to detract from the well-preserved obverse, with its fine detail and excellent contrast giving way to a crisply rendered image. The reverse also has some staining and shows the hinged portion of the stand has been lightly bent at some point. A survivor from a set not known for them, this offers a chance at a rare opportunity to obtain what is a high-grade example with Hall-of Fame pedigree.
