Hall-of-Famer Eddie Collins has two poses in the T205 Gold Border set.  One is dubbed "mouth closed" and the other is this "mouth open" example.  Considered to be one of the tougher variations in this highly popular set, offered here is a PSA 2.5 graded card with a Polar Bear back, meaning it was sold in pouch (loose) tobacco packs vs. the somewhat neater cigarette packaging. Polar Bears tend to show signs of product contact and that is indeed the case here, with a splotch of tobacco in the upper right background.  Various surface wear is also seen, primarily confined to or near the edges with the central image of Collins unmarred. The reverse shows more signs of tobacco mingling but none of any adhesion to any kind of old album.
