Topps took an inventive approach with their 1962 card of Mickey Mantle in game action titled "The Switch Hitter Connects."  No doubt launching a mammoth shot again the smorgasbord of expansion-era pitching he feasted off of in '61, this triptych of consecutive photos offers a good look at the form of the Mick doing what he did best.  PSA 5 in grade, the centering is pointed a little down and to the right.  Some edge wear, very easy to pick up with the full-bleed wood grain borders used for the set, can be seen, mostly along the top as oriented.  The corners are lightly tipped but overall the wear is minimal.  A black print line runs across the top frame of the photos, which are clear of the intrusion and nicely flexichromed.  A paper fiber can be seen in the background of the last image. 

The back offers a year-by-year batting record, a nice touch as the regular issue cards in '62 had truncated stats in order to fit the cartoons and text. Some slight wear is seen, primarily visible in the red background, with some pretty nice centering.. Truly a neat card of Mantle that flies a little bit under the radar.
