A sylvan setting is the backdrop for this ornate cabinet of a woman holding a bat, her grip split in the fashion of the day among some players. Presented on an unusual square mount that has a stain on the left border, the photo is sepia, well-preserved and thoughtfully composed. The reverse is dated in pencil as June 7, 1907 and has some old mounting tape remnants at each corner.
