Oval photo Cabinet somewhat reminiscent of the T4 Obak Premiums. The image portrays a woman ballplayer from Portland and hails from the Ihrig Studio of Tacoma, which was operating in that town circa 1910 and operated by Madame Henreitte Ihrig (aka Hattie Chapin, 1887-1954). As such, both the photo and the mount are of interest. The well-lit image is nicely composed and balanced. A couple of scuffs can be seen in the darker background areas. The mount has some staining and the front layer has cracked in a horizontal rise along the bottom. The gray undermount reverse has been pasted and removed from an album at some point, with paper loss seen. A truly important piece.
