Highly detailed 1918-19 original photograph showcasing Ty Cobb's bunting form. At the age of 30 or 31 when this image was shot, Cobb was well on his way towards becoming baseball's all-time hits leader - this very technique undoubtedly playing a crucial role. The WWI-era image can conclusively be dated to 1918-19 as these were the only two seasons in which the Tigers wore this particular uniform combination. Cobb captured batting titles at the conclusion of both campaigns with 1919 being the last of twelve achieved by "The Georgia Peach" across his storied career. Photo displays unevenly trimmed edges with final overall dimensions of 7" x 8.75".
