3x5" index card signed by Hall of Famer Fred Clarke. Much has been made of Clarke's baseball career not as much made of the various accidents Clarke survived after his baseball career was over - he survived being thrown from a boat into the water during a storm he survived a gas furnace explosion in his basement and he was nearly shot while quail hunting. Despite these close calls Clarke lived to the ripe age of 87. His signature was applied in ink to this index card which has been somewhat worn with a brown stain at the bottom and a small tear at the top left. The signature however remains bold and clear with very little toning to the paper itself. An excellent example of the signature of a deadball era Hall of Famer.
