The start of the 1960s and the end of the 1970s spelled good things for the New York Yankees franchise. The team earned back-to-back World Series titles in 1961 and ‘62, and turned the trick again in 1977 and ‘78. Bobby Richardson, Tony Kubek and Elston Howard provided the offense in the early clashes against the Cardinals and Giants, respectively, while Captain Thurman Munson, the incomparable Reggie Jackson and the unlikely Bucky Dent carried the fireworks in the ‘70s. This lot features one New York Yankees Championship Season World Series Program from each of those four memorable Fall Classics. Each of the programs remains intact with the 1961 and ‘62 covers utilizing cover illustrations, while the latter two show photos of the coveted World Series trophy (‘77) and a championship ring (‘78). The condition of all four programs remains very good.
