A particularly underrated set, the 1963 Fleer issue featured simple, full-color photographs set against a stark, white background, letting the photos tell the story rather than bury the images in design. The result is an attractive set in virtually any condition. Presented here is a mid grade set, grading approximately 3% EX/MT, 12% EX, 34% VG/EX, 43% VG and 7% GOOD. Key cards grade as follows: #4 Robinson (VG), #5 Mays (VG/EX), #8 Yastrzemski (VG/EX), #22 Kaat (VG/EX), #32 Santo (VG), #41 Drysdale (VG/EX), #42 Koufax (VG), #45 Spahn (VG-EX), #56 Clemente (EX), #59 Mazeroski (VG-EX), #61 Gibson (VG), and #64 Cepeda (VG). This set does not include the checklist. Particularly significant from a hobby perspective, this is the set that was offered in the legendary Barry Halper auction years ago. 66 cards total.
