Sharp set of 1973 Topps baseball cards, the last set Topps issued in series until the modern card era.  Known as one of Topps' most plain designs, with some of the most awkward photography due to their inclusion of action shots in the standard set (in 1973, they issued special "In Action" cards that were a hit), the designs and photos of the 1973 Topps set has captured the fancy of many collectors.  They key in the set is, of course, the rookie card of Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt, perhaps the most important card of the decade.  This set is quite sharp, the primary condition flaws related to Topps' poor quality control and not to handling - indeed, if not for centering and minor print defects, the great majority of these cards would be NM.  As it is, a condition breakdown would be 4% NM, 13% EX/MT, 40% EX, 33% VG/EX, 10% VG, and a few lesser.  Key cards break down as follows: #50 Clemente (VG/EX), #90 Robinson (VG), #100 Aaron (EX), #130 Rose (VG-EX), #142 Munson (VG), #160 Palmer (VG-EX), #174 Gossage (EX), #175 F. Robinson (VG-EX), #190 Gibson (VG-EX), #220 Ryan (VG-EX), #230 Morgan (EX), #235 Hunter (EX-MT), #245 Yastrzemski (VG-EX), #255 Jackson (VG-EX), #280 Kaline (EX), #305 Mays (VG-EX), #350 Seaver (EX), #370 Stargell (EX-MT), #410 McCovey (EX), #474 Ruth (EX), #480 Marichal (VG-EX), #615 Boone (EX), #615 Schmidt (EX-MT).  A beautiful, "minty" set, save for the Topps print defects of the era.  660 cards total.
