The 1914 E145 Cracker Jack set brought a jolt of red to the little prizes it had started inserting into boxes of their sticky confection two years earlier. More like thick paper than thin cardboard, the cards were highly susceptible to product staining and damage. Artie Hoffman was a Federal League player in 1914, detailing a happy confluence of marketing and the short-lived circuit's birth. SGC 1.5 in grade, primarily due to a light crease running vertically up the center of the card, the look exceeds the technical grade. Minimal obverse staining is present, with a little bit more is seen on the reverse, which is bright.
