The 1914 E145 Cracker Jack set brought a jolt of red to the little prizes it had started inserting into boxes of their sticky confection two years earlier. More like thick paper than thin cardboard, the cards were highly susceptible to product staining and damage. Brooklyn's John Hummel seems like he's in every pre-war set ever issued and is captured here in an SGC 1.5 holder. The image is riding low and to the right, toward a corner that's had an impact or two, with minimal staining. The reverse has a faint penciled notation.
