Seven teams across 13 major league seasons was the tally for Johnny Schmitz.  He started 1952 with Brooklyn, then was dealt to the Yankees on August 1st, who then unloaded him four weeks later to the Reds.  To fully illustrate the bouncing superball look to his career, the Yankees brought him back in 1953 before he was picked up by Washington on waivers. The bright orange of his 1952 Dodgers card with Topps is like a beacon, and his portrait presents in stark relief.
