Small trove of four photos related to the life of former St. Louis Browns pitcher Barney Pelty, "The Yiddish Curver." Notably, each piece in this collection has been consigned to us directly from Pelty's estate. Includes: 1) 4" x 5" portrait photo of Pelty, c.1903. Photo exhibits moderate wear to edges and some creasing and abrasions are present to bottom third of print. Verso remains blank. 2) Postally unused 3.5" x 5" real photo postcard of Pelty in street clothes sometime prior to 1907. Some light wear to corners but overall condition remains excellent. 3) Postally unused real photo postcard depicting what appears to be an amateur ball club c.1910. As he does not appear on this card any relation to Pelty remains unknown. 4) Approx. 3" x 4" snapshot photo of an elder Barney Pelty and his son, Lawrence Albert Pelty, likely sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's. Photo exhibits some light creasing and handling wear throughout.
