Bowman sometimes shared Mickey Mantle with Topps and the result was a brace of fantastic looking cards coming out in the first half of the 1950's. His 1954 Bowman is a sleeper, with collectors coming around to its charms of late. It's easy to see why on this PSA 5 example, with its fluffy clouds and bright blue sky behind a fairly beaming young Mick. There is some gum residue on the surface and the centering is a little up and to the left. The reverse is very nice as well, with just a small border chip above his name plate.
