Latin American issues are seeing a bit of a rise in popularity as collector realize their scarcity and wide-ranging array of subjects. Bill Skowron was a 20 year old Yankees farmhand just embarking on his pro career when he roamed the outfield for the Ponce Leones during the Winter of 1950-51. The spelling of his last name was never corrected so he is "Skowrom" forever more. One of three 6's in the SGC database, with two higher out of an overall population of nine, with zero graded examples seen in the PSA pop report. Some scuffing is seen on the obverse, primarily in the background and the corners are just starting to show some touches. A reverse featuring a plain white field is seen, with just some handling wear giving it pedigree.
