I have one to sell!
The assembly of a 1952 Topps master set is one of the greatest challenges in the postwar segment of the hobby. Despite the inclusion of two Mantles and the ultra-rare Frank Campos variation there are collectors who are up to the task and assembling a run of black-backed low number cards is no easy feat. Since grading companies just recently began recognizing the black and red backs as different cards it is not always easy to find black backed versions of the cards. To assist such collectors we have assembled a small grouping of 22 such cards. Included in the collection are the following: #2 Pete Runnels (G) #3 Thompson (F) #4 Lenhardt (VG-EX) #19 Bucha (VG) # 21 Fain (P due to pinhole) #25 Groth (G) # 29 Priddy (G - miscut) #33 Spahn (G) #34 Valo (F) #36 Hodges (F) # 38 Westlake (VG) #44 Dempsey (VG) #46 Goldsberry (VG) # 48 Page (VG-EX) # 54 Kiely (VG-EX) #57 Lopat (VG-EX) # 59 Roberts (P) # 61 Gilbert (VG) # 62 Stobbs (VG-EX) # 64 Sievers (VG) #68 Chambers (F) and #74 Hansen (F). Despite the lower technical grades this group presents exceptionally well the majority of the condition issues relating to less obtrusive surface wear soft corners and edges or faint wrinkles and creases seen so often with the issue. Still an exceptional group of cards from the postwar hobby's most important issue.
