Ted Williams, affectionately known as “The Splendid Splinter” during his days with the Boston Red Sox, served as a great celebrity spokesperson for the Boston-based Moxie Company. Due to his success in the batter’s box and rugged good looks, sales for the Moxie root beer product surged with his connection. This 14” wide by 11.5" high (at its widest and tallest) countertop cutout display, which features him wearing his Red Sox uniform, is in good condition despite its 70-plus years. Even the original foldout stand that’s part of its reverse side remains intact.
