The Gray-Backed 1952 Topps cards, sometimes referred to as Canadian in origin (which they are not) all fall in the third series (#131-190) and persist as a tough subset to collect. This PSA 1.5  of Bill Howerton is somewhat typical in appearance for a Gray, as they are not often found in nice shape. There are stains on the left and right sides of the obverse, with creasing and a flayed out corner seen.  The reverse looks pretty solid.  The color of the image, as is the often the case with these, is muted.
