Phenomenal 1913 original photograph of Philadelphia Athletics first baseman, John Phalen "Stuffy" McInnis. McInnis     had a hand in five World Series championships, including three with Connie Mack's Athletics (1910, 1911, 1913), one with the Boston Red Sox (1918), and one with Pittsburgh at the twilight of his career (1925). Card collectors will undoubtedly recognize this image as the source material for Stuffy's 1914 and 1915 Cracker Jack cards (card shown for illustration purposes only and is not included). The left edge of this photo has been trimmed away, bringing the overall dimensions to approx. 6.5" x 5" and editorial crop marks appear both vertically and horizontally across the central image in pencil. Verso displays a date stamp of Oct 3, 1913 - just prior to the 1913 World Series against the New York Giants that began on Oct. 7. Encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
