Joe DiMaggio cards are hot and in the news again, with some eye-popping recent sales of the Yankee Clipper making headlines even in the mainstream press. An accumulation of minor insults, such as some excess ink on the reverse and foxing on both sides had a hand in the grade here. Corner rounding and centering to the left are seen but the look exceeds the "sum of the parts" if you will.  The PSA 3 flip says 1948 but Leafs were issued in 1949, as the Yankees commenced a five year run of sheer, unmatched dominance.
