While many collectors are familiar with the 3.5" x 5.5" B&W Hall of Fame plaque postcards issued by Albertype (1944-52), and Artvue (1953-55), their precursor and the original HOF plaque postcards are far more rare and sought after. Issued from 1939-43 and sold directly by the National Baseball Hall of Fame itself, the "Hall of Fame Sepia Postcards" (as listed in the Standard Catalog) featured a complete set of 35 subjects. Presented are seven cards from this elusive series, including: 1) Morgan Bulkeley 2) Eddie Collins 3) Candy Cummings 4) Buck Ewing 5) Ban Johnson 6) Hoss Radbourne 7) George Wright. Cards remain in VG-EX condition across the group with corner wear appearing as the only major condition flaws.
