Outstanding ticket stub dating to the second NBA game for Hall of Famer and Celtics legend John Havlicek. Havlicek won eight NBA Championships with Boston, and to this day has the distinction of being the team's all-time leading scorer.
Havlicek was taken by Boston with the 7th pick in the 1962 draft, and fit right into the team's first game, alongside the likes of Bill Russell and Bob Cousy, scoring 6 points in 25 minutes on the floor. Five days later, in New York's Madison Square Garden, Havlicek would score 9 in a 133-108 Celtics victory. Havlicek would go on to play 1,268 more games after this one, all with the Celtics.
The stub has been graded PR 1 by PSA, primarily due to creasing. The stub presents well regardless, a very desirable and historically important ticket stub.
