Tough ticket stub from the first-ever playoff matchup between these two storied franchises - played just one week after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The game was a playoff game to determine the divisional champion - the first such game in NFL history.
The two teams ended the season tied with identical 10-1 records, splitting the season series against one another. The playoff, at Wrigley Field in Chicago, saw the Bears jumping out early and never relinquishing their lead, winning the game, 33-14. They would go on to win the Championship against the Giants, 37-9.
The stub presents well, technically lower grade due to edge wear that includes some tiny edge tears, and one larger area of paper loss due to an irregular tear. The reverse is clean, save for the paper loss at the perforation from the aforementioned tear. An extremely rare early playoff ticket, from the first ever playoff game between these two longstanding rivals.
