One of two 8" x 10" Type 1 photos in this auction featuring White Sox star third baseman Buck Weaver and "B" western film icon Buck Jones. The duo have been posed at Washington Park in Los Angeles, CA, home of the Los Angeles Angels of the Pacific Coast League from 1911-1925. Aided by perfect lighting, this is a fantastic close-up representation of the two stars as they horse around for the camera. Handwritten inscriptions appear on surface of the photo providing basic details, with a longer inscription on verso declaring Buck Weaver "King of all 3rd Basemen." Verso exhibits uniformly vertical toning but otherwise remains free of noteworthy imperfections. Originating from the estate of Christy Walsh, this photo comes with an LOA from Walsh's family.  Authenticated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
