Given their fragile and metamorphic nature, 1955 Topps Doubleheaders are not usually candidates for high grade holders.  Yet somehow this Ted Williams/Hal Smith has come through as a PSA 8 in a beautiful NM-Mint state.  With only two PSA 9's besting the grade, this is an extremely desirable card for condition conscious collectors or registry aficionados. With the scored fold line almost invisible on the colorful obverse, the look carries over to the reverse, where the hinge side is seen to be virtually untouched. Hall-of-Fame subjects in high grade are tough finds in this set.
