First baseman "Babe" Thomas played parts of three seasons in the PCL, all with the Portland Beavers, never playing an inning of major league ball. It is the beauty of the card, rather than the stats of the player, that make this 1926 Zeenut so appealing. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, the card has retained its original coupon at the bottom, rendering it quite scarce. The redemption offer on Zeenut cards was such that the great majority of surviving cards do not have this coupon. The remaining elements of the card are gravy; it is sharp and clear, with some minor corner wear at the top reducing the technical grade somewhat, but not interfering with its eye appeal or desirability one iota.
