Issued as a "thank you" to a scout who brought another scout into the fold, the N.Y. Boy Scouts cards were a one and done incentive only issued in 1969 and may have been designed for a single specific event. A nine subject set, featuring 3 Yankees and 6 Miracle Mets, these are some of the most difficult to obtain cards of the 1960's. Tom Seaver was "The Franchise" for the Mets and the only Hall-of-Famer in this extremely scarce issue.

None of the nine subjects are known in double-digit amounts in the PSA population report (or even combined with SGC's counts), with Seaver having 7 graded examples at PSA. SGC has none in their database, no surprise given the rarity of the card.  Graded as a VG 3, with miscut qualifier, a crease can be seen running down from the top border, with a lighter one extending to the right side. The back is clean, with a spare design yet attractive design. The image is a classic pose of Tom Terrific in his 25 win season, which netted him the first of three Cy Young Awards. The 10.00 weighting in the Seaver PSA Master set attests to the degree of difficulty this hyper-regional card presents.
