Seldom-seen illustrated supplements, issued by the Sunday Boston Globe in 1910, the third set of supplements issued by Boston newspapers during the era.  Significantly higher quality than those issued by the Herald and Post newspapers in 1909, the Globe inserts measured 12" x 10" and pictured two supplements side-by-side.  The full-color illustrations featured players from multiple teams.  This particular example features popular Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie, and fan favorite Hal Chase.  Though the supplements present well, they are in FAIR condition with overall wear, most notably a paper tear at the top center, likely from where a pinhole or tack hole once existed.  Some mild staining and age-related discoloration is evident, though the piece remains extraordinarily attractive.
