Scoop was an expansive illustrated issue from Topps in 1954.  The gimmick was twofold: a scratch off feature on the front that obscured the image and exhorted the buyer to "See it Now" (mimicking an early Walter Cronkite TV series of the same name that was on the air when the set was released) and an ersatz newspaper feature in the back with the "scoop" that described the action on the front of the card, which was mostly set in the distant past. Babe Ruth was one of four baseball subjects included by Topps.

The black bars seen here are sans graphics (it's thought only single cards from one cent packs and the top card in a five cent pack featured the graphics) and they show some speckling. The reverse of this PSA 4 card has toned a little and some foxing is seen. A nice, oddball Ruth card from Topps, unusual for the Bambino, even given the vast array of products he was featured on.
