As more collectors seek out true "rookie cards" of Hall of Famers, the popularity of the 1948 Cleveland Indians Picture Pack photo of Satchel Paige increases.  Issued a year before the cards often recognized as his first - the 1949 Bowman and Leaf cards - the picture pack photos are occasionally subject to the "Is it a card?" debate.  For our money it counts, predating the rookie cards as Paige's earliest major league collectible.  Graded VG 3 by PSA due to light wear, the issue is quite condition-sensitive due to the lightweight nature of the paper.  An extremely desirable "card" of one of the all-time greats.
