Truly high-quality portrait card from the rare N403 Yum Yum Tobacco issue, issued by August Beck & Co. of Chicago.  The cards were distributed in packs of smoking and chewing tobacco, and featured either photographic portraits or action drawings of players from the National League teams, plus the Brooklyn American Association club.  This example pictures Washington catcher Tom Deasley, the highest-graded of three examples assessed by SGC (none by PSA).  The photographic image is bold, with strong contrast and virtually none of the fading common to 19th Century photographic issues.  The reverse is clean.  A tremendous opportunity for an advanced collector two obtain a truly special card.
