Tommy Brown broke in with Brooklyn in 1944 as a sixteen year old shortstop and hit a paltry .164 over 146 at bats, such was the state of wartime baseball. He carved out a nine year major league career and permanently sank to the minors at age 25 following the 1953 season. The 1952 Topps semi-high card seen here looks like it was rolled up (to "pitch") at some early point in its life. It's neatly signed in blue ballpoint, PSA/DNA AUTHENTIC.
